We are the Hondinn family — a young couple living with our princess, a slightly spoiled cocker spaniel named Dobby. When Dobby came into our lives, everything changed. She became more than a pet — she became family. Through her, we discovered how pure, sincere, and powerful a dog’s love can be.

As passionate travelers, leaving her behind was never easy. Even when we were away, part of us stayed with her. We kept wondering if she was truly happy, truly cared for.

That’s when we realized — finding a place that feels genuinely safe, warm, and trustworthy isn’t simple. Not a place that just looks after dogs, but one that truly understands them.

That realization became Hondinn.

We found a house in Kapellen and transformed it into a home designed entirely for dogs. We completed professional training in care, behavior, communication, and first aid, followed every official step, received recognition from Dierenwelzijn Vlaanderen, and opened our doors in November 2025.

Today, Hondinn is built on something simple: genuine care.

Every day, we welcome dogs into our home as our own. We observe, understand, and create a calm environment where they feel safe and at ease. At the same time, we keep owners closely connected through photos, videos, and video calls.

Hondinn is not designed for everyone. It’s for those who see their dog as their family.

We love what we do. Dobby still sleeps next to us. Our only KPI is a happily wagging tail.

And we’re reminded every day that:

“What a beautiful world it would be if people had hearts like dogs.”
